Movici Bicycle Station
Context: Movici was a Startup that wanted to develop automatic loan stations in 2014 and 2015. At that time, Chile was the number one country in the use of bicycles in Latin America. Using the bicycle was a friendly trend for decontamination and vehicular congestion in a city of around 7 million people.
Problem: The company wanted to compete by design, therefore they needed to develop 10 station prototypes with Mecano assembly systems, since the competition had regular structures that were not very versatile in the installation.
Solution: A totem was developed with output in three directions of arms, that is, three different orientations of bicycles.
The arms are telescopic for the use of 4, 6 and 8 Self-Lending Bikes.
The main totem is the support for electronic devices, and the arms are the support for sensors and mechanical security systems, designed for safety in the city.
Digital tools used: ProEngineer, Rhino Ceros, Auto Cad, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keyshot, PowerPoint.
